    » Did you know?

Fossil fuels are hydrocarbons that originally formed from the remains of ancient plants and animals. The combination of underground heat and pressure transformed the hydrocarbons into petroleum, a process that took place over millions of years. Thus, the petroleum we use today was formed from the fossils of animals and plants that pre-date the dinosaurs. Moreover, fossil fuels are not renewable. When they are gone, they are gone. Although the extraction of fossil fuels will continue, more efficient heat transfer and green initiatives will help them last a bit longer.
